As a humanitarian, thought leader, ground-breaking author, and founder of international phenomenon  Best Year Yet, Jinny Ditzler changed the lives of hundreds of thousands of people in her lifetime. Her approach to her work was driven by one simple desire – to empower as many people as possible to create better lives for themselves, their families, and those in their communities.

“I’ve never met a person who didn’t want his or her life to matter” is one of Jinny’s most insightful quotes and one upon which the Best Year Yet program is built. The approach is simple and powerful – if you give people the right tools, resources, and support, there’s not much they won’t be able to achieve.

Impact through Supporting our Youth

One group that has always had a special place in Jinny’s heart is teens and young adults. It was her strong belief that by teaching young people that they can create change in their own lives and communities, they can lead lives of higher fulfillment and impact that can multiply exponentially, leaving a positive mark on generations to follow.

To this end, the Best Year Yet Foundation, in partnership with Tim Ditzler (Jinny’s husband and Best Year Yet co-founder) launched the Jinny Ditzler Legacy Fund. The purpose of this fund is to provide tools, resources, and support, not only to the staff of programs serving teenagers and young adults, but also to the teens and young adults themselves. With this dual approach, the goal is to prepare future generations of leaders, thinkers, creators, and change makers who can synergetically make the world a better place for themselves and their communities.

Our partners in this work include corporations, other foundations, Best Year Yet users whose lives have been transformed by this work, and individuals who share Jinny’s and our passion for it. We know it can make our world a brighter place of hope, promise, and results that matter because we’ve seen and experienced it for ourselves.

We hope you’ll join us in our quest.

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”

Jinny Ditzler embodied that sentiment through sharing herself and her work with the world.
